# Set up bus tour bookings and departure tickets

> Create bus tour departures, set ticket quantities to the available passenger places, and configure pickup instructions and optional seat selection.

Use **Bus Tour** when passengers choose a departure time. It starts with time selection, a **Tour Seat** ticket, and capacity 20. The ticket name does not assign a numbered bus seat or manage vehicles and routes.

## Template starting point

| Setting | Initial choice |
| - | - |
| Schedule | One day |
| Admission | Paid tickets |
| First offer | Tour Seat · suggested price 25 in your site’s currency |
| Capacity | 20 |
| Attendees choose a time | Yes — one editable 09:00–10:00 slot |

These are editable suggestions, not recommended prices or venue limits. Replace the dates, price, and capacity with your own. See [how onboarding works](./overview#complete-onboarding).

## Choose the onboarding answers

Open **Create Event** in the selected workspace.

1. Select **Bus Tour**, name the route or experience, and set its date.
2. Leave **Do attendees choose a time? → Yes** on. Replace the suggested 09:00–10:00 session with your departure/duration and add the other offered times.
3. Keep **Paid tickets**, enter the fare, and replace the suggested capacity with the number of passenger places you intend to sell.

<Note>**Create my event** may publish immediately when the requirements are met. Use **Continue later** to finish setup as a draft. Review any plan or publishing message before sharing the event.</Note>

## Finish the event settings

| Where to go | What to configure |
| - | - |
| **Dates & Times** | Review every departure. For operating across a range of dates, use the [Time-Based date-range controls](/event-management/datetime#time-based). |
| **Tickets and capacity** | Set quantities and per-order limits for each departure; check that multiple fare types still respect the intended total. |
| **Venue & Location** | Identify the exact pickup point. Include boarding and arrival instructions in the description and reminders. |
| **Additional Info** | Collect passenger details or useful pickup information with [registration questions](/event-management/additional-information). |
| **Assigned Seating** | If passengers choose numbered seats, enable seating, attach a published chart, and map fares to seat categories using [assigned seating](./assigned-seating). |

## Departure capacity and numbered seats

A time-slot ticket reserves the selected departure, not every departure that day. Check two times independently and verify the date/time in the passenger’s booking. For numbered seats, review the chart for every occurrence and test the seat/fare combination. A pickup-choice question stores an answer; it does not create another vehicle, route, or inventory pool. Separate day passes are unavailable in onboarding while attendees choose a session time.

## Check the attendee experience

* Choose two departures and verify the correct times and passenger capacity.
* Test an order with several passengers and confirm the intended attendee details.
* Verify the pickup instructions, ticket time, and any selected seat number.

Review the event’s saved status and [publish/share controls](/event-management/manage-events) when it is ready. Return to [all event types](./overview) to compare starting points.
