# Set up concert tickets for your own event

> Create a concert, configure general admission or reserved seating, set ticket tiers and sales windows, and prepare QR-code check-in.

Use **Concert** to sell admission to a show you organize. It starts as a single paid event with general admission. Reserved seating, VIP offers, and separate performances are choices you configure afterwards.

## Template starting point

| Setting | Initial choice |
| - | - |
| Schedule | One day |
| Admission | Paid tickets |
| First offer | General Admission · suggested price 25 in your site’s currency |
| Capacity | 100 |
| Attendees choose a time | Not enabled |

These are editable suggestions, not recommended prices or venue limits. Replace the dates, price, and capacity with your own. See [how onboarding works](./overview#complete-onboarding).

## Choose the onboarding answers

Open **Create Event** in the selected workspace.

1. Select **Concert** and enter the show name.
2. Choose **One day** and set the performance start and end. Use the full editor for additional performance dates when needed.
3. Keep **Paid tickets** for general admission, or choose **Assigned seating** if buyers must reserve a seat. Enter your actual ticket price and capacity.

<Note>**Create my event** may publish immediately when the requirements are met. Use **Continue later** to finish setup as a draft. Review any plan or publishing message before sharing the event.</Note>

## Finish the event settings

| Where to go | What to configure |
| - | - |
| **Event Details and Venue & Location** | Add the artist or lineup, venue, doors information, and event timezone. |
| **Tickets** | Create your ticket tiers, sales windows, quantities, and per-order limits. Use [promo codes and ticket rules](/event-management/ticket-setup) where appropriate. |
| **Assigned Seating** | For reserved seats, publish a chart, attach it to the event, and map each ticket to its seat categories. See [seating setup](/seating-charts/create-and-assign). |
| **Waitlist** | Enable a [waitlist](/event-management/waitlist) if guests should register interest after tickets or event capacity sell out. |
| **Email Communication and check-in** | Include doors and venue instructions, then prepare [QR-code scanning](/mobile-app/mobile-check-in). |

## Price tiers and entry rules

An early-bird price, VIP ticket, and general-admission ticket are separate offers or pricing rules; the Concert template creates only the initial ticket. Set the intended sales dates and quantities before sharing the event. If VIP requires another ticket in the same order, review **Required Ticket** in the [ticket guide](/event-management/ticket-setup#required-ticket). For several performances, follow the [repeating event guide](./repeating-event) and verify which performance each purchase admits the holder to.

## Check the attendee experience

* Check each tier’s price, quantity, and availability on the public checkout.
* For reserved seating, select an actual seat and review its ticket/category mapping.
* Confirm doors/check-in timing, event timezone, and ticket QR-code behavior.

Review the event’s saved status and [publish/share controls](/event-management/manage-events) when it is ready. Return to [all event types](./overview) to compare starting points.
