# Set up retreat registration and payment options

> Create a retreat registration form, configure the full retreat pass and optional installments, and collect participant information in Ticket Spot.

Use **Retreat** for one experience spanning several days. The default **Retreat Pass** covers the overall stay; unlike Festival and Conference, a full-pass retreat does not automatically create independently bookable day records.

## Template starting point

| Setting | Initial choice |
| - | - |
| Schedule | Several days |
| Admission | Paid tickets |
| First offer | Retreat Pass · suggested price 25 in your site’s currency |
| Capacity | 30 |
| Attendees choose a time | Not enabled |

These are editable suggestions, not recommended prices or venue limits. Replace the dates, price, and capacity with your own. See [how onboarding works](./overview#complete-onboarding).

## Choose the onboarding answers

Open **Create Event** in the selected workspace.

1. Select **Retreat**, name it, and replace the suggested three-day range with the actual **Several days** start and end.
2. Keep **Paid tickets** and **Full event pass** when the booking covers the whole retreat. Set the actual price and capacity instead of accepting the suggested 30 places.
3. Choose **Continue later** to finish the registration form, package details, and any installment schedule in draft.

<Note>**Create my event** may publish immediately when the requirements are met. Use **Continue later** to finish setup as a draft. Review any plan or publishing message before sharing the event.</Note>

## Finish the event settings

| Where to go | What to configure |
| - | - |
| **Dates & Times** | Check the actual arrival and departure timestamps. A full-pass retreat retains those times rather than expanding them to whole calendar days. |
| **Tickets** | Explain the accommodation, meals, or activities included in each offer and configure the quantity and purchase rules. |
| **Additional Info** | Build the [retreat registration form](/event-management/additional-information) with the participant details and choices you need. |
| **Installments** | For deposits and later payments, configure [Stripe installments](/event-management/installment-payments) on an eligible paid ticket. This requires Business or higher and Stripe card checkout. |
| **Email Communication** | Add arrival, preparation, contact, and joining details, then review confirmation and reminder content. |

## Full stay, day visits, and accommodation choices

Choose day passes only if you actually sell separate retreat days; that selection creates the corresponding day records and custom tickets. The [multi-day guide](./multi-day-event) explains the available pass models. A room-choice question records a preference, not lodging inventory. Configure a ticket offer with the appropriate quantity if you sell a limited package.

An installment schedule does not automatically charge later payments on their due dates. An organizer initiates collection using the attendee’s installment controls; explain the agreed payment schedule clearly.

## Check the attendee experience

* Check the full stay’s arrival/departure dates and what the pass includes.
* Submit participant information and verify answers on the attendee record.
* For installments, verify the deposit, later amounts, due offsets, and payment agreement in checkout.

Review the event’s saved status and [publish/share controls](/event-management/manage-events) when it is ready. Return to [all event types](./overview) to compare starting points.
