# Check your event before you launch

> Verify your public event, ticket availability, payment route, confirmation, attendee records, and check-in before promoting ticket sales.

Use this checklist after completing your [website setup](/plugins/website-setup) and [first event](/getting-started/first-event). Test the public page guests will use, on desktop and mobile.

## Event and ticket offer

* [ ] The event has the correct title, venue or joining information, dates, times, and timezone.
* [ ] The saved event is live and has the intended public or private visibility.
* [ ] Each ticket has the correct price, currency, fees, and sales window. A free RSVP shows no charge.
* [ ] Ticket quantities and shared event or session capacity match the places you can sell.
* [ ] For recurring events, day passes, or time slots, guests can choose the intended occurrence and understand what their ticket includes.

Review [event details](/event-management/eventdetails), [ticket setup](/event-management/ticket-setup), or [capacity rules](/event-management/ticket-capacity) if something differs.

## Website and checkout

* [ ] The event appears on the intended published website, widget, or store product.
* [ ] For Shopify, the linked product uses the required [Ticket Selector and product template](/plugins/shopify-ticket-selector); Shopify payment settings are ready.
* [ ] Other selling routes have the [applicable payment setup](/account/get-paid#choose-the-correct-payment-workflow).
* [ ] A visitor can select tickets and complete the intended checkout on a desktop and a phone.
* [ ] If enabled, seat selection, required questions, access codes, membership rules, add-ons, and quantity limits behave as intended.

Use the payment provider or platform's supported testing workflow. A purchase through live checkout can charge the selected payment method; account for that when choosing your test.

## Booking, delivery, and admission

* [ ] The completed booking appears in the correct Ticket Spot event and occurrence with the expected tickets and attendee details.
* [ ] Confirmation reaches the test recipient, and the ticket or QR code can be opened.
* [ ] If you enabled Shopify's Thank You ticket block, ticket access works after checkout.
* [ ] The organizer can find the order and its payment status. For paid tickets, check the transaction in the platform or provider that processed it.
* [ ] Before event day, staff can access the correct event and validate a test ticket using the intended [check-in workflow](/guides/run-your-event). A test scan records admission, so use a booking reserved for testing.

For a missing message, follow [email and SMS delivery troubleshooting](/attendee-management/email-and-sms-delivery#troubleshoot-a-missing-ticket-confirmation). For a missing widget or event, start with [setup troubleshooting](/troubleshooting/overview).

## Ready to share

Share the public website or event link that passed these checks. Use [tracking links](/event-management/tracking-links) if you want to measure a campaign. Repeat the relevant checks after changing your ticket offer, website theme, or checkout settings.
