Use this reference alongside the Design setup guide. Open Design, select the named sidebar area, and choose the ticket or communication type where applicable. Availability varies by plan; basic Brand identity remains available on all plans. Text and label fields change attendee-facing wording. Show/Hide controls change visibility. Color controls change the named element’s appearance. They do not change the underlying ticket, membership, payment, or email-sending rules. Most design controls save automatically; wait for the update to finish and verify the actual attendee experience.

Brand and Widget

Start with Brand: Site Logo, Brand Primary Color, Brand Text Color, and Brand Font. Remove Ticket Spot Branding controls the email footer separately on Business+. Under Widget, choose Design, Display, Layout, Event Filters, Visitor search & filters, Checkout, or Text. The widget Design category is hidden for Wix sites. See Widget customization and its linked field guides. Choosing a new widget theme replaces its existing color/font overrides; review it before changing a customized widget.

Event Page

Set button states, page/host colors, visible sections, sharing platforms, and the private-event access dialog. The private-event message fields change wording, not which access codes are valid.

Site

Use a 4:1 header image (recommended 1200×300px), set heading/subheading text and colors, and show or hide the subscription section. The subheading supports bold, italic, underline, and links.

Tickets & Passes → Ticket Receipt PDF

Choose receipt details and labels. Hiding tax or payment labels does not change the order calculation.

Tickets & Passes → Apple Pass

Choose the details shown on the Apple pass. Keep its QR code visible if attendees use it for admission.

Tickets & Passes → Membership PDF

Choose member identification, validity and benefit display. Edit actual visit limits and duration in Memberships.

Attendee Communication → Post Event

Configure the post-event message presentation. Set up its sending rules in the event’s Email Communication step.

Attendee Communication → Event Reminder

Configure reminder headings, countdown wording and links. Timing is configured separately in the event’s Email Communication step.

Attendee Communication → Ticket Confirmation

Configure ticket-only and membership confirmations, document buttons, booking information, membership information, and virtual-event links.

Attendee Communication → Announcement

Choose announcement sender text, event details, and action links. Creating an announcement design does not send an announcement.

Attendee Communication → Pending Approval

Customize the email shown while a registration awaits approval.

Attendee Communication → Pending Installment

Configure the First Payment, Manual Charge, Payment Received, and All Payments Complete email sections separately. Each has Email Header Title, Email Subject, Message Content and Display Header Icon. These templates do not enable installment ticket sales.

Attendee Communication → Approval Declined

Customize the registration-declined email.

Attendee Communication → Approval Confirmed

Customize the registration-approved email.

Attendee Communication → Waitlist Confirmation

Customize the email confirming a place on the waitlist.

Attendee Communication → Waitlist Ticket Released

Customize the release email and optional priority-access link/button. This changes its presentation, not the release process.

Attendee Communication → Not Attending

Customize the not-attending email.

Attendee Communication → Self Check-In Kiosk

Configure waiting, success, printing, warning, error and expired/invalid-kiosk states. Enable Auto Print only after configuring and testing your printer.

Attendee Communication → Shopify Thank You Page

Configure confirmation text and ticket/receipt/pass/calendar actions. Install the Shopify thank-you app block separately.

Attendee Communication → Checkout Complete

Configure completed-order text, document/action visibility, and an optional custom link. Enter a full destination in Custom Link URL when showing that action.

Attendee Communication → Pending Approval Order

Configure the pending-registration checkout result. It should explain the next step without implying the registration is approved.

Attendee Communication → Installment Order Confirmation

Configure the first-payment checkout result and schedule labels. Keep the outstanding balance and pending-ticket explanation clear.

Attendee Communication → Square POS Confirmation

Configure the POS confirmation and action labels, cash payment, auto-print, and receipt/QR ticket output. Test payment and printing separately from the preview.

Ticket PDF — custom designer

Switch Basic / Design to enable custom ticket design on Business Plus. The switch saves immediately; format layouts use a separate Save button. Use Add Format to select an available paper or badge format, then design each tab independently. The format determines canvas dimensions. Available tools are Upload Background, Add Text, Add QR Code, Delete Selected Element, and Clear Canvas. Select text to edit Text content…, insert or copy Tokens…, and set Bold, Italic, Align Left / Center / Right, Text Color, and Font Size (8–72). Drag and resize text or QR elements on the canvas. Close a format tab to remove it after confirmation; the last format cannot be removed. The tab’s dot indicates unsaved changes. Save and inspect an actual ticket PDF with a long name and scannable QR code. See the custom designer walkthrough.

Attendee Ticket Page

The six controls are Allow Attendee Edits, Show Order Details Section, Show Tickets Section, Show Documents Section, Show Cancel or Transfer Action, and Show Contact Host Action. Follow the attendee ticket-page guide for their effects and immediate-save behavior.

Membership document buttons and language variants

Event Reminder, Ticket Confirmation, and Checkout Complete include Show Membership PDF Button and Membership PDF Button Text. The button applies to orders containing memberships; email delivery also depends on the event email’s membership PDF setting. Ticket Confirmation also has Membership Access Note for the membership message. Use Multilingual communications, Editing language, per-field Reset to default, and saved campaign Email translations for language-specific wording. Layout and delivery remain shared; see multilingual setup. For every widget setting, begin with Quick Settings or the seven widget option references.
