Choose the activity you organize, then follow its setup guide. Each guide explains the onboarding starting choices, the settings to finish in the event editor, and what to check before sharing your event. All 21 named onboarding templates are covered, along with Start from scratch. Templates are starting points. You can change their schedule, admission method, price, and capacity. A template name does not automatically create a venue, description, seating chart, registration questions, membership, or payment connection. Already created your event? Open that event and use the guide’s Finish the event settings section. You do not need to create it again to use these instructions.

Find your event

The first eight options appear on What are you hosting?. Select Browse more templates → to see Popular and Advanced. Use Start from scratch to open the full event editor without answering the template questions. It does not create an event merely by opening the editor.

Complete onboarding

  1. Select the correct workspace and open Create Event. A new account may first need a workspace name.
  2. On What are you hosting?, choose a template.
  3. On What’s your event called?, enter the name guests should see.
  4. On When does it happen?, review One day, Several days, Weekly, or Monthly. Replace the suggested start and end. Recurring events also need weekdays where applicable and Repeats until. Several days must span at least two calendar dates.
  5. Wine Tour and Bus Tour also offer Do attendees choose a time?. Edit the session times when enabled. Other templates can be configured with time-based schedules later in the full editor.
  6. On How do people get tickets?, choose Paid tickets, Free RSVP, or Assigned seating. Review the price and capacity. Eligible paid multi-day events also offer a full pass, day passes, or both.
  7. Choose Continue later to create a draft and finish the remaining settings in the editor, or Create my event → when you are ready for the creation and publication checks.
Create my event can publish immediately when the schedule, admission, and payment requirements are met. Use Continue later to finish the settings in this guide before going live. Assigned-seating templates stay drafts because they still need a chart.
The result says the event is live or has been created. Open the event and review its saved status and any warning. If publishing could not finish, the created event remains available to review; do not create another event simply to retry publishing.

Review the suggested values

Paid templates start with a suggested price of 25 in the site’s currency, not a recommended price for your event. The default capacity is 100, except Wine Tour, Class, Workshop, and Bus Tour (20), Dinner (40), Retreat (30), and Market (blank/no event-wide cap). Free RSVP does not charge the suggested paid-ticket amount. Date fields are prefilled. Several-day templates initially span three calendar days, and tour time selection starts with a single 09:00–10:00 slot. Replace these with your real schedule. Review the event timezone in Event Details; translating widget labels does not change the event timezone. A plan that only allows free tickets can turn a requested paid ticket into a free ticket and show a warning. Review plan access, the saved ticket price, and the checkout before sharing. Paid checkout needs an appropriate payment connection or the payment setup for your connected storefront.

Choose the right ticket model

The onboarding day-pass choices require paid admission spanning multiple days, without assigned seating or attendee-selected time slots. New day tickets initially use the entered pass price and capacity; they are not automatically cheaper. See multi-day event setup for the full choice table. Festival and Conference create separate day records by default. A Retreat or generic Multi-day Event with only a full pass remains one event spanning its dates; choosing separate day passes creates the needed day records. Review the saved operating hours and what guests can buy before opening registration.

Finish the settings your event needs

Some features need a particular plan, payment provider, or connected platform. Each detailed guide names its prerequisites. Finish the configuration your event needs, then test the attendee flow on desktop and mobile before sharing the link.
