Change the seat hold countdown

  1. Open Design → Widget → All Settings → Text → Checkout → Seating, or search for Seat Hold Countdown Text.
  2. Enter your sentence, such as Time left to choose your seats: {time}. Keep {time} with the same spelling and braces; it displays the remaining minutes and seconds.
  3. Wait for saving, then open the seating map for the same widget. Enable Show seat hold countdown in Quick Settings if needed.
The default is Seat hold expires in {time}. With Automatic translation enabled, the unchanged default follows the visitor’s supported widget language. For example, Spanish shows La reserva de asientos caduca en 14:58 when that much time remains. All 18 supported widget languages include this message. Custom wording is displayed exactly as entered in every language, including when automatic translation is on. Restore the default sentence to use its translations again. With automatic translation off, the unchanged default stays in English. The text field changes the displayed sentence only. It does not change the hold’s expiry, reservation duration, or the separate visibility switch. See buyer seat selection for desktop and mobile screenshots.

Example: rename the Continue button

  1. Search for Continue Button Text in the widget editor, or open Text → Checkout → General.
  2. Enter wording such as Next: {step}. Keep {step} so the button names the next available checkout step.
  3. Wait for the update, then reload the checkout preview for the same widget and language.
  4. Check the buyer-facing button. If the next step is Products, the example becomes Next: Products. Which steps appear depends on the event’s checkout configuration.

Change the Shopify checkout button

  1. Open Design → Widget → All Settings → Text → Checkout → Cart, or search for Shopify Checkout Button Text.
  2. Enter your wording, such as Continuar, in Shopify Checkout Button Text.
  3. Wait for saving, publish the widget changes, then reload your Shopify storefront and check the order-summary button.
This setting changes both the button that continues to Shopify checkout and the fallback checkout link shown when the Shopify checkout is ready. The button’s design, validation, and checkout destination stay the same. The selector’s launch-button wording is configured separately in the event’s Shopify product settings. The default is Continue to Shopify checkout. With Automatic translation enabled under Text → Event details, the unchanged default follows the visitor’s supported widget language; in Spanish it reads Continuar al pago de Shopify. Custom wording such as Continuar is used exactly as entered in every language, even while automatic translation is enabled. Restore Continue to Shopify checkout to use the translated default again. With automatic translation off, the default stays in English. The complete text reference lists every field. Preserve its placeholders and use the preview to check long labels. Button labels can have length limits. Automatic translation uses supported translated event text; it can affect which custom event labels are editable. Outgoing emails/tickets use Multilingual communications separately. Wait for saving, then test normal, empty, unavailable, and error states. Changing wording does not change ticket eligibility, pricing, capacity, or the number of required add-ons.
